Matthew Senn has been playing with Aspen Meadow Band since its formation, has been a lead guitar player for the past eight years and band- leader for the past three years. He is a Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) alum, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree of Music in Music Therapy as well as completed advanced levels of Guitar Proficiencies. He has studied blues, funk, folk, jazz, country, and rock guitar styles. While attending Berklee Matthew played in many different ensembles and groups that included blues, R&B, country, and the Music Therapy Ensemble, to name a few. He has studied with professors who have played with Elton John, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and many others. While in Boston, Matthew also had the opportunity to collaborate with many other artists in writing or arranging songs for them.
Matthew’s principal instrument is the guitar, and he also enjoys playing the banjo, mandolin, bass guitar, piano, slide guitar, and singing with the band. Since completing his degree at Berklee, Matthew has moved back to Oregon where he continues to perform as well as beginning his career as a Music Therapist, opening a private practice. Matthew’s deep passion for music brings a high energy and excitement to the band, and he loves being able to connect with people from all around the world through his music.
